What is the Linux Users Group?

The Mines Linux Users Group (LUG) is a student organization of Linux users and enthusiasts. Members of LUG present at our weekly meetings about many things Linux and open source. People come to our club with many different Linux backgrounds; some have never tried Linux before and are looking for help with installation, and some have years of Linux experience. Our goal is to be the center of knowledge for everything Linux in the CSM community.

Upcoming Meetings

  • Near Field Xploits – We like exploring new configurations, breaking our system and building back up again. The same logic goes for physical security. This talk is a continuation of my discussion of physical security. It will be an in-depth look at RFID and NFC card exploits and cloning techniques, both old and new, from tear-off to relay attacks. Do you wanna hack cards like in the movies? Come to my talk and find out how!
    Date: Thursday, 12 February 2026 from 18:00-19:00
